Keeping memory alive while looking at the future

Recuperation of “Historic Casco”

The recuperation project for Historic Casco in Panama City involves a plan of integrated recuperation of urban infrastructure for the enhancement and development of the historic city.

Notable aspects are:

  • a new sewage system for rainwater drainage;
  • upgrading the existing waterworks system for improved function of fresh water collectors;
  • constructing a sewage disposal system that favours the historic city’s environmental conditions;
  • repaving with clay bricks and rebuilding sidewalks in the intervention area;
  • burying electrical and telephone lines in critical areas;
  • improving public lighting and street signage.
